Jeff writes about his experiences as a research study participant, as well as some of the challenges that face the progression of health care and medicine related to the recruitment of study volunteers.

Having lived with type 1 diabetes (T1D) since the age of 13, Jeff truly understands how far health care has come for people with T1D over the last 25+ years and how study volunteers from the past have played a role in the therapies and care he benefits from today.

In addition to writing for Study Notes, Jeff works in communications for The Ohio State University Center for Clinical and Translational Science and is pursuing a Master’s degree in public health from Ohio State.
