Carson Reider, PhD

In addition to contributing to Study Notes, Carson Reider, PhD, has been involved in the development, coordination and administration of various publically or privately sponsored, single or multicenter, clinical or epidemiological research projects since 1988.

Carson Reider has reviewed more than 300 research studies. He has also volunteered for several research studies as a participant.

Initially, Carson began working with research in the areas of epilepsy and movement disorders. Since 2002, he has served as the Research Subject Advocate for the Clinical Research Center at The Ohio State University and has served on various Data & Safety Monitoring Boards.

Since 2008, he has added serving as a Clinical Research Consultant for the OSU Center for Clinical and Translational Science. Carson provides regulatory and research ethics protocol development, IRB submission and safety monitoring support, having supported over 300 studies to date.

Carson has also enrolled himself as a participant in several clinical research studies. He is actively engaged in various related CTSA Consortium activities, including participation in the CTSA Clinical Research Ethics Consultation Forum, teaches an epidemiology course through the OSU College of Public Health, and serves as an adjunct research professor in the OSU College of Nursing.
